Telehit, the music channel on the Latin American TV network Televisa, will broadcast the Berklee Canta en Español concert and songwriting competition this Sunday, February 7, at 8:00 p.m. EST to 60 countries. RCN satellite subscribers in the U.S. can watch on channel 555. The event was filmed in October at the Lunario of the National Auditorium in Mexico City. Performers include Berklee alumni who are among Latin America's top rising pop artists, including 2009 Latin Grammy winner for Best New Artist Alexander Acha,
Tommy Torres, Benny Ibarra, Mane de la Parra and the rock band Motel. Performances by Joel Waldman and Daniel Dayz, Canta grand–prize cowinners, will be featured, along with highlights from the other finalists and comments by judges Alejandro Abaroa, Warner Music Mexico's director of A&R; Ana Villacorta, general director of Movistar International Record Label; and, representing SGAE, singer/songwriter Sole Giménez.
